One of the restaurants that is also worth recommending is Rex in Corfu Town. It is positions in old town, pretty much in the centre which could suggest it can be a tourist trap, but it is far from the truth.
The food – again – is very creative and superb.
From beautiful selection of fresh bread – sourdough, seeded, all the way to dark and sweet variety, through local wines, to elevated local dishes.
We started from having haloumi salad and savoury cheese doughnuts with tomato chutney,
Followed by delicious grilled octopus with potatoes, chicken pastitsio and finished strong with ice cream stuffed baklava and brandy.
