What can I say about Salto apart from WOW.

It is preliminary a wine bar but a wine bar I would like to have as my local bar in London – the selection of Greek wines and ingredients was endless. Salto’s sommelier has an amazing knowledge and a few times we visited this place he managed to pair our wine and other drinks perfectly, from local sparkling wine to white wines from Santorini and reds from north of Greece.

The food, not to forget, was also fantastic, with the local ingredients and dishes, elevated to a high end restaurant quality. No matter if only bread and olive oil – the best you could test, or lobster raviolono, every dish was faultless.

We tasted nearly all menu in a few visits we paid – including local fava beans, lobster raviolono, smoked octopus carpaccio, marinated anchovies and many more. They have vast selection of Greek hams and cheeses from which you can make your own charcuterie board – either for starter or a dessert – we had it as both as too good to miss!
