One of my newest discoveries is Aquavit London. Based in St. James’s Market just off Piccadilly Circus, beautiful Scandinavian restaurant with a live music from Hed Kandi DJs. Upon arrival we were greeted by a fantastic waiter who invited us to have a seat at their fantastic brass bar which offers exclusive selection of snaps but also Nordic inspired cocktails such Scandi Mule or Nordjord and Kalhygge.
We opted for some oysters, few variety of herring with pickles, black pudding with lingonberries with bacon and lardo, duck breast, turbot, dumplings with mushrooms and all were paired with a different snaps. It was an entirely mouth watering and we totally exceeded our 2h booking.
After the delicious meal we finished off with remarkable desserts of a chocolate ganashe and an arctic birds nest, which were not only to die for, but also were absolutely stunning!
Definitely worth trying!
